Job summary

USPI Northwest Surgery Center is seeking a motivated Pre-Admissions Testing RN to join our team on the Ascension Seton Northwest Hospital campus. We perform outpatient surgical procedures across ENT, General, Ophthalmology, Orthopedic, and more.

The role requires weekday work with no holidays, weekends, or call; some early mornings and evenings may be needed based on the surgical schedule. The Pre Admissions Nurse coordinates nursing care, analyzes assessment data, and develops plans of care in

Qualifications

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
Minimum 2-year experience in a hospital setting.
Ability to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, staff, physicians, vendors and the public.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Demonstrates accountability, professionalism, openness, receptive to change, creativity and innovative.
Ability to adapt to change quickly, strong knowledge base relative to surgery procedures and management of the surgical patient.
Understands principles of aseptic technique and their implementation.
Excellent teaching skills.

Responsibilities

Coordinate nursing care and assess data to determine outcomes.
Develop and implement plan of care with patient/family and interdisciplinary team.
Document progress and evaluate outcomes.
Address age-specific needs of patients and families.
