Virginia Urology seeks a dedicated Pre-Admission Testing Registered Nurse to prepare patients for surgery, assess readiness, and ensure aseptic and safe care. The role supports adult and geriatric patients in a fast-paced setting.

The RN will document histories, coordinate labs and EKGs, educate patients on procedures, and communicate with anesthesia and physicians to optimize patient outcomes.

Qualifikationen

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensed in the State of Virginia or awaiting reciprocity.
• CPR and ACLS certifications required.
• 1 year minimum RN experience in pre-admission/testing and perioperative care.

• Develops and implements a patient-specific pre-admission plan of care.
• Assesses and documents medical history, allergies, meds, and vital signs.
• Obtains labs, EKGs, and discusses anesthesia readiness.
• Educates patients on pre-operative and post-operative instructions.
