Job summary

Highmark Health's West Penn Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Postpartum/Newborn Nursery unit (Mother/Baby). The role is full-time at 36 hours per week with rotating days, nights and weekends, serving a 33 couplet care rooms facility plus a 36-bed Level I Nursery.

The RN provides leadership, delivers evidence-based care, and collaborates with an interdisciplinary team. AHN supports professional development and patient-centered care in a Magnet-recognized environment.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• Preferred: certification in area of specialty.
• At least 1 year hospital RN experience beyond orientation.

Responsibilities

• Provides leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Mentors team and promotes collaboration across disciplines.
• Delivers nursing care using the nursing process for postpartum/newborn patients.
• Promotes patient safety and participates in quality initiatives.
• Documents care and communicates changes to physicians.
