Job summary

Allegheny Health Network's West Penn Hospital in Pittsburgh seeks a Registered Nurse in Obstetrics for full-time, 36 hours weekly with rotating days and nights. The role requires mandatory call per West Penn CBA and involves leading in a high-acuity labor and delivery unit.

The RN will provide bedside nursing, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, ensure patient safety, and participate in ongoing education and quality initiatives within AHN's network.

Qualifications

• Current PA RN licensure or multi-state licensure via eNLC.
• Preferred: Obstetric Nursing Certification (RNC-OB, RNC-MNN, RNC-IAP, C-EFM, C-OBE).
• Two years of inpatient RN experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership in a professional practice setting.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.
• Assign duties based on patient needs and staff skill levels.
• Promote patient safety initiatives and evidence-based practice.
• Mentor and role model for staff, contributing to team success.
• Support continuous learning and contribute to department quality initiatives.
