Ardent Health Services is seeking a Night Shift, full-time Post Partum Couplet Care Registered Nurse in Westwood, NJ. The ideal candidate will care for postpartum patients, coordinate with the care team, and support family-centered care.

Qualifications include NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program, NRP and BLS certifications, NJ RN license or NCL multistate license, and AWHONN EFM course within 6 months of hire. OB cert preferred.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from NLN/AACN-accredited nursing program.
• NRP certification is required.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer.
• RN license in New Jersey or multistate license recognized by NCL.
• Completed AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• The RN Post-Partum Staff provides care for postpartum patients and supports family needs.
• Directs and oversees care by delegating, validating, evaluating and coordinating with other caregivers.
• Coordinates patient care and unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.
• RNs report to the Nurse Manager.

• Hackensack Meridian Pascack Valley Medical Center is a 128-bed, full-service, acute-care community hospital with a new emergency department, a state-of-the‑art maternity center, a women's imaging center, and an ICU.

Responsibilities

• The RN Post-Partum Staff functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes.

• This position directs and oversees the care provided by other caregivers through delegation, validation, evaluation, and coordination.

• This position effectively coordinates patient care/unit activities among nursing peers, physicians and support services.

• The RN Staff Nurse reports to the Nurse Manager.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

• Graduate of an NLN/AACN-accredited program in nursing
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care or the American Red Cross (ARC).
• Registered Nurse (RN) with the New Jersey Board of Nursing or an RN Multistate License from the NCL is required.
• 1-2 years Mother/Baby and/or Medical‑Surgical nursing experience.
• Completed basic AWHONN Electronic Fetal Monitoring Course within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Job Requirements:

• OB nursing certification preferred.

Rate of pay is determined based on experience and education and may include other pay components such as differentials and call pay based on role.
