Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson is seeking a Registered Nurse for Unit 58 – Post-Surgery Ortho/Neuro/ENT. The role provides direct patient care 7am–7:30pm with an RN license and an Associate degree. CPR certification is required and no prior experience is necessary.

You will develop and implement nursing plans, coordinate care with the team, educate patients and families, and participate in residency and quality initiatives within a supportive hospital environment.

Qualifications

• Associate degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Current RN license with Maryland Board of Nursing.
• Healthcare Provider CPR required; biennial recertification.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Able to develop, implement and evaluate nursing plans.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using nursing process and form diagnoses.
• Plan and update a written nursing plan of care.
• Administer medications, IV therapy and treatments as prescribed.
• Coordinate patient activities with health team members.
• Educate patients and families; ensure proper discharge planning.
• Participate in Nurse Residency Program activities and quality improvement.
