Job summary

GBMC HealthCare seeks a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care in a team‑oriented hospital setting. You will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process, and coordinate with the health team for effective post‑discharge plans.

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing, Maryland RN license, CPR, and at least one year of RN experience. Specialty certifications such as ACLS/PALS/NRP are required upon hire where applicable.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current Maryland RN license and active registration.
• Healthcare Provider CPR twice yearly.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP or equivalent certifications required on hire for specialty areas.
• Minimum of one year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the Nursing Process and create a care plan.
• Plan and update written nursing plans of care.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments per protocol.
• Coordinate patient care with family and health team members.
• Educate patients and families, and participate in discharge planning.
• Monitor patient status and communicate with physicians and staff.
• Demonstrate GBMC values in daily patient care and teamwork.
