Job summary

GBMC HealthCare is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care under general supervision at our Towson campus. The ideal candidate will hold an Associate Degree in Nursing and an active Maryland RN license, with CPR every two years; additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) may be required for specialty areas.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing is required.
• Current Maryland RN license with the Board of Examiners of Nurses.
• Healthcare Provider CPR biennial.
• Additional certifications (ACLS, PALS, NRP) required upon hire for specialty areas.
• One year of RN experience required.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process and determine priorities.
• Plan and document a written nursing care plan.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments.
• Coordinate patient activities with the health team.
• Teach patients and families; provide discharge planning.
• Participate in teaching and quality improvement activities.
