Job summary

GBMC HealthCare in Towson is seeking a Registered Nurse for Unit 52 Med/Tele/Neuro/Stroke, working 7a-7p. Under general supervision, you will provide direct patient care, assess needs, and develop nursing plans of care.

Requirements include an Associate Degree in Nursing, Maryland RN license, Healthcare Provider CPR, and at least one year of RN experience. ACLS/PALS/NRP may be required for specialty areas; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current RN license in Maryland and Healthcare Provider CPR (biennial).
• ACLS/PALS/NRP certifications required for specialty areas upon hire.
• Minimum of one year RN experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to assigned patients.
• Develop and implement nursing plan of care and document care.
• Administer medications and IV therapy as prescribed.
• Coordinate patient care with health team and family.
• Document patient status and communicate with physicians and staff.
• Educate patients and families and participate in discharge planning.
