Job summary

ARMStaffing is recruiting a Registered Nurse for the Pediatric Cardiac ICU at Rocky Mountain Children's at Presbyterian St. Luke's in Denver, Colorado. This 13-week contract role runs day shifts with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio and weekend coverage as needed.

You will join a highly experienced team delivering post-operative and critical care for congenital heart patients, using advanced monitors and pumps to support recovery.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac critical care experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications are required.
• Active Colorado RN license is required.
• Preferred experience with peritoneal dialysis, CRRT and ECMO bedside care.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care for cardiac patients and manage infusions and chest tube care.
• Administer moderate sedation and assess critically ill patients.
• Collaborate with pediatric/congenital heart intensivists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Operate Philips monitors and reference Medfusion/Baxter pumps as part of care.
• Support education for patients and families throughout the care journey.

Job Description

The Pediatric Cardiac ICU at HCA HealthONE Rocky Mountain Children's at Presbyterian St. Luke's is seeking an experienced CVPICU RN. This unit specializes in the care of patients with congenital heart issues, providing critical post-operative care and continuous management of cardiac conditions. You will be part of a dedicated team with an average of 10 years of nursing experience committed to delivering evidence-based practices and exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

• Provide post-operative care for patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including management of inotropic and vasopressor continuous infusions, intravenous fluids, and chest tube care.
• Administer moderate sedation and perform assessments on critically ill patients.
• Collaborate closely with board-certified pediatric/congenital heart intensivists and multidisciplinary teams.
• Utilize advanced medical equipment, including Philips monitors, Medfusion and Baxter pumps.
• Participate in the education and support of patients and families throughout their care journey.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of cardiac critical care experience.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license in the state of Colorado.
• ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications required.
• Preferred experience with peritoneal dialysis, CRRT skills, and ECMO bedside experience.
