Job summary

SCA Health in Parsippany-Troy Hills, NJ is seeking an experienced perioperative nurse leader to coordinate education initiatives for Pre-Op, PACU, and OR staff. You will help develop preceptor programs, support ongoing staff education, and manage a central repository for learning materials.

The role also involves coordinating Total Joint program activities, standard procedures, and EMR system updates in collaboration with clinicians and IT partners.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing.
• Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience.
• Five plus years of relevant experience including 1 to 2 years as a supervisor.
• Pre Op/PACU and/or OR experience preferred.
• Current state licensure to practice within good standings.
• Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• ACLS certification within 90 days of employment or current ACLS certification.
• PALS certification required when pediatric care is included, within 90 days.
• Proficiency in computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate professional development and education initiatives for Pre-Op, PACU, and Operating Room staff.
• Assist in development and implementation of a preceptor program for Pre-Op / PACU staff.
• Support ongoing education and development for staff (in-services, competencies, certifications).
• Develop and maintain a central online repository for education materials and communications to staff.
• Obtain feedback from staff regarding education needs and interests.
• Coordinate Total Joint Program activities and standard procedures.
• Oversee EMR system requirements and content development with leadership and vendors.
