Job summary

Gillette Children's is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for PeriAnesthesia Preadmit Testing (PAT). This 1.0 FTE position is a Day shift role at the St. Paul Campus, with hours starting as early as 7:00 am.

The role emphasizes care coordination without direct patient care, preparing patients for surgeries, and guiding families through the process. The nurse will conduct assessments, develop care plans, implement interventions, and communicate effectively with patients and families while supporting

Qualifications

• Documentation of completion of professional nursing program (RN program).
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license through the MN Board of Nursing.
• Must be interested in working with people with short term or long‑term disabilities that begin in childhood.

Responsibilities

• Delivers indirect patient care using the nursing process to optimize health status and outcomes.
• Creates individualized, evidence-based plans of care.
• Facilitates interventions and prioritizes effectively.
• Communicates patient-related nursing data to patients, families and care teams.
