Job summary

Covenant Living Communities and Services in Minnesota seeks a qualified Registered Nurse to supervise LPNs and CNAs, deliver direct resident care, and ensure quality, compliant nursing practice across assisted living, skilled nursing and memory care.

This role emphasizes teamwork, ongoing training, and communication with physicians and families, with flexible hours including weekends and holidays; a compassionate, person-centered approach is essential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State.
• One year nursing experience necessary.
• Devotion to standards and principles of professional nursing.
• Skill in assessing problems, planning and evaluating solutions in relation to supervision of LPNs and CNAs.

Responsibilities

• Provide routine daily direction and monitor the work of LPNs and nursing assistants on the unit.
• Assist in the orientation of new nursing personnel and reinforce training standards.
• Assist in motivating LPNs and CNAs assigned to the nursing unit.
• Provide explanation of nursing procedures and assistance to staff to assure ongoing understanding and training.
• Communicate with the Director of Nursing regarding assessments and concerns.
• Observe and evaluate residents’ health and communicate changes to staff and physicians.
