Job summary

Providence hospice is seeking a per diem RN Nurse Clinician to provide holistic care to terminally ill patients and families in Spokane Valley. The role involves assessing needs, planning, coordinating, implementing, and adjusting the Plan of Care, working with the IDG to anticipate changes and promote quality of life.

The position is on-site with variable shifts and caseloads, requiring WA RN licensure and BLS within 30 days.

Qualifications

  • RN with Washington license required at hire.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or equivalent education/experience.
  • BLS certification within 30 days of hire (American Heart Association).
  • 1 year nursing experience preferred; pediatric experience preferred for pediatric programs.

Responsibilities

  • Provide holistic care to terminally ill patients and families; assess needs, plan, coordinate, implement and revise the Plan of Care.

Job Description

This is a per diem/on call position.

The RN Nurse Clinician provides holistic care to terminally ill pediatric or adult patients and their families by assessing the needs of the patient, and then planning, coordinating, implementing, and as needed, revising the Plan of Care. The RN Nurse Clinician works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary hospice group (IDG)with the goals of anticipating changes in the patient's condition, avoiding crises, promoting patient and family choice, ensuring continuity of care, and enhancing the quality of life of dying patients. Shift, schedule and caseload of shifts and caseload may vary according to position assignment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's Degree Nursing Or
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing Or equivalent education/experience
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
  • Within 30 days of hire: Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1 year Nursing experience; some pediatric nursing experience required for a position in the Pediatric Programs.
  • Prior Hospice, Homecare, Long Term Care, medical/surgical, and/or oncology experience.

Posted are the minimum and the maximum wage rates on the wage range for this position. The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
