Job summary

Providence in Spokane, WA seeks an RN Nurse Clinician for per diem/on-call hospice care. You will assess patient needs, plan and coordinate care, and collaborate with the IDG to promote comfort and family support. Shifts and caseloads vary by assignment.

Qualifications include an RN with at least an Associate's degree (B.S. preferred) and Washington license, plus BLS within 30 days of hire; pediatric experience is a plus for this program.

This is a per diem/on call position.

The RN Nurse Clinician provides holistic care to terminally ill pediatric or adult patients and their families by assessing the needs of the patient, and then planning, coordinating, implementing, and as needed, revising the Plan of Care. The RN Nurse Clinician works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary hospice group (IDG)with the goals of anticipating changes in the patient's condition, avoiding crises, promoting patient and family choice, ensuring continuity of care, and enhancing the quality of life of dying patients. Shift, schedule and caseload of shifts and caseload may vary according to position assignment.

Required Qualifications

• Associate's Degree Nursing Or
• Bachelor's Degree Nursing Or equivalent education/experience
• Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
• Within 30 days of hire: Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year Nursing experience; some pediatric nursing experience required for a position in the Pediatric Programs.
• Prior Hospice, Homecare, Long Term Care, medical/surgical, and/or oncology experience.
