Job summary

Providence SCS Hospice in Spokane Valley is seeking a registered nurse clinician for a per diem/on-call role to provide holistic care to terminally ill patients and their families. You will assess needs, plan, coordinate, implement, and revise the care plan in collaboration with the interdisciplinary hospice team.

The position requires Washington RN licensure and Provider BLS within 30 days of hire, with shifts and caseloads varying by assignment; compassion and clear communication are essential

This is a per diem/on call position.

The RN Nurse Clinician provides holistic care to terminally ill pediatric or adult patients and their families by assessing the needs of the patient, and then planning, coordinating, implementing, and as needed, revising the Plan of Care. The RN Nurse Clinician works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary hospice group (IDG)with the goals of anticipating changes in the patient's condition, avoiding crises, promoting patient and family choice, ensuring continuity of care, and enhancing the quality of life of dying patients. Shift, schedule and caseload of shifts and caseload may vary according to position assignment.

Required Qualifications:
  • Associate's Degree Nursing Or
  • Bachelor's Degree Nursing Or equivalent education/experience
  • Upon hire: Washington Registered Nurse License
  • Within 30 days of hire: Provider BLS - American Heart Association
Preferred Qualifications:
  • 1 year Nursing experience; some pediatric nursing experience required for a position in the Pediatric Programs.
  • Prior Hospice, Homecare, Long Term Care, medical/surgical, and/or oncology experience.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on‑call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
