Cynet HealthStaff seeks a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric CVICU assignment in Oklahoma City. The role is a 13-week contract with day shifts and 12-hour shifts. Requires:• RN license in good standing• Associate’s degree in nursing• BLS and PALS certifications• 1 year of pediatric cardiac ICU experience

The nurse will provide comprehensive patient care, document responses to treatments, administer medications, and support families through the care process in a hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
• Current RN License issued by the State Board of Nursing or current multistate compact RN License.
• BLS and PALS certifications from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to a variety of patients under supervision.

Description:Under general supervision, provides nursing care in a hospital to a variety of patients with health problems ranging from simple to complex.

Assumes responsibility for an assigned group of patients.

Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments.

Notes all changes in physician orders for assigned patients.

Assists physicians in the examination of patients and in performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments.

Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients.

Observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes as necessary.

Administers medication as prescribed.

Initiates, regulates, and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.

Delivers patient care competently.

Interacts with patients and families in sharing care plans while in the hospital and at the time of discharge.

Informs patients and families of hospital procedures.

Makes referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel.

Delegates tasks to support staff.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of professional nursing theories, practices, techniques, and procedures is essential.

Ability to organize, plan, coordinate, and evaluate nursing services and apply nursing techniques.

Ability to maintain good working relationships with colleagues.

Good verbal and written communication skills are required.

Ability to respond effectively to diverse cultural and language needs of patients and visitors is important.

Some computer skills are necessary.
