Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an RN for a CVICU position in Austin, TX. The role involves delivering high-quality direct patient care to high-risk cardiac surgery patients, including open heart recovery and ECMO support, with a 13-week assignment.

The nurse will implement evidence-based care plans, monitor patients using Swan-Ganz/CCO, and coordinate discharge planning in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team. Active RN license and CVICU experience are required.

Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse license required.
  • Minimum 1 year CVICU experience.
  • Cardiac device therapy experience including IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz management.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality direct patient care as a Registered Nurse.
  • Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans.
  • Administer physician and nursing orders promptly and accurately.
  • Lead discharge planning efforts and ensure safe transitions.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team for post-acute care planning.
  • Care for high-risk cardiac surgery patients, including open heart recovery, transplants, LVAD, ECMO.
  • Utilize monitoring techniques such as Swan-Ganz and CCO; provide care across related units as needed.

Must-Have:

Cardiac Advanced Device Therapy Management experience, including IABP, Impella, and Swan-Ganz management.

Description:Deliver high-quality direct patient care as a Registered Nurse (RN).Ensure safe, evidence-based interventions aligned with organizational policies and clinical standards.Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans.Evaluate outcomes and adjust treatment to optimize patient safety and recovery.Administer physician and nursing orders promptly.Maintain compliance with regulatory standards and advance quality improvement initiatives.Lead discharge planning efforts.Collaborate with patients and the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe transitions and effective post-acute care planning.Manage a patient population primarily consisting of high-risk cardiac surgeries.Provide care for open heart recovery, heart transplants, LVAD implants, ECMO, and more.Utilize monitoring techniques, including Swan Ganz Catheters and CCO monitoring.Serve in various related units as necessary, based on patient needs.
