Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in pediatrics for a 13-week assignment in San Antonio, TX. The role requires a valid RN license and at least 1 year of pediatric experience, with BLS and PALS certifications.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in a 24-bed pediatric unit.

• Use Meditech EMR; collaborate with team and communicate effectively.
• Work every other weekend and maintain patient safety and comfort.

Description:This position requires a registered nurse to work in a pediatric unit.The unit has 24 beds and a staff of 40 members.Staffing consists of 1 charge nurse and 4-8 RNs, depending on census, during the day shift.Night shifts also have a charge nurse and 4-8 RNs, with additional support from PCTs/UCs based on census.Patient ratios are typically 3:1 or 4:1, depending on patient acuity.Common equipment used includes trachs, home ventilators, feeding pumps, central lines, chest tubes, syringe pumps, and High Flow Nasal Cannulas.The EMR system utilized is Meditech.Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, a positive attitude, teamwork, and strong communication skills.Typical procedures performed include central line care and management of High Flow Nasal Cannulas.Every other weekend commitment is required for this role.The position is being filled due to a vacancy.
