The ideal candidate has 1+ year Pediatric ER RN experience, RN license, and certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS/TNCC/ENPC). PALS can substitute ENPC. CEN/CPEN and IV competency are preferred.

Description:Travel position for Registered Nurse in a Pediatric Emergency Department.The unit consists of 23 beds with a staff of 45.Day shift includes 4 day RN staff and a charge RN, with additional mid-shift coverage.Night shift includes 4 night RN staff and a night charge.Patient ratios are 4:1, increasing to 5:1 during surge situations.Staff will utilize GE monitors for patient care.The Electronic Medical Record system in use is Meditech.Candidates must possess Pediatric Emergency Department experience.Preferred qualifications include CEN, CPEN, and IV competency.Typical procedures performed include port access, IV starts, venipuncture, nasal washes, point of care testing, EKGs, and Foley placements.The ideal candidate is caring, competent, and active.Communication skills are essential, with a willingness to go above and beyond.The unit prides itself on high patient satisfaction scores and quick turnaround times.The team fosters a supportive and welcoming environment for hardworking individuals.
