Description:Join a highly motivated team of caregivers in a Pediatric Progressive Care Unit.This role involves caring for patients in a progressive care setting focused on optimal patient care.The nurse to patient ratio is 1:4, with 3 patients for post-renal transplant cases.The unit specializes in diverse patient populations, including those with renal conditions, post-operative spinal care, chronic complex care, and telemetry needs.Typical diagnoses include asthma, pneumonia, and chronic-complex cerebral palsy, among others.Nurses will conduct various procedures, including telemetry, lab monitoring, and care of drains and feeding tubes.Common equipment utilized includes IV pumps, CPAP/BiPAP machines, and chest tube setups.Floating may be required to other general care or medical-surgical areas.Basic telemetry interpretation skills are necessary for this position.The focus is on delivering compassionate and driven care to pediatric patients.
