Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for the OR in a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity allows nurses to apply their passion for nursing in the operating room. Prior OR experience in pediatrics is strongly encouraged.

Requirements include OH RN license, BSN (in progress acceptable), BLS, ACLS, and PALS preferred. Flexible scheduling and W2 status are part of the role, with competitive hourly pay and benefits where eligible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN License required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• Must have American Heart Association current BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements.
• CNOR highly preferred.
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
