Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for OR for a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity allows nurses to apply for their passion in nursing and being in the OR. Candidates with OR experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

This position offers self-scheduling (PRN) and W2 employment with a pay rate of $48-$52 per hour, depending on experience. Weekly pay and comprehensive benefits are included where eligible.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• BSN degree required or in progress; Ohio RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred; CNOR highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for pediatric patients in the OR and conduct pre-/intra-operative assessments.
• Support the physician in the care plan and ensure safe patient care during surgery.
• Maintain continuity of care between the OR and patient care units.

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must have American Heart Associtation Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery. Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
