Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for the OR in a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, OH. This PRN opportunity offers flexible scheduling and self-scheduling options to match clinical needs.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years OR (Peds) experience, Ohio RN license, BSN or in progress, and current BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred. CNOR highly preferred. Join a team providing safe pediatric care in a dynamic surgical environment.

Qualifications

• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care for pediatric patients in the operating room
• Perform pre/post-operative assessments and interventions
• Assist physicians to execute care plans and ensure safety during surgery
• Ensure continuity of care between the OR and patient care units

Contract Details

• Employment Type: Self-Scheduling (PRN)
• Primary Units: OR (Peds)
• Pay Rate: $48-$52 per hour (based on experience)
• Schedule: PRN with flexible scheduling
• Shift Availability: Varies
• Start Date: As soon as credentialing is completed
• Employment Status: W2 Employee

Requirements

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds)
• Ohio RN License required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills
• Must have American Heart Associtation Current BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to our pediatric patients within the operating room, performs assessments and interventions designed to keep the patients safe during surgery. Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
