Job summary

Orlando Health Dr. P. Phillips is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), working 7pm–7am on a three 12-hour shift schedule with rotating weekends.

The PCU unit houses a 48-bed area providing telemetry and monitored care for post-surgical, COPD, pneumonia and other at-risk patients, bridging ICU and standard care. Eligible candidates will have a Florida RN license (or eNLC), BLS certification, and at least 1 year of RN experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and unit/department.

Responsibilities

• Assesses patient’s needs and develops/revises an individualized plan of care.
• Evaluates patient’s progress toward outcomes.
• Communicates and collaborates with medical staff and interdisciplinary team.
• Serves as a role model and supports unit goals.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-specific patient needs.
