Orlando Health, Inc. in Orlando, FL is seeking an RN Nurse Resident for the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) on day shifts. This 12-hour shift role focuses on patient care, monitoring, and gradual escalation when needed in a 48-bed unit.

You’ll work under supervision with a preceptor to develop competencies. Qualifications include nursing school graduate status, Florida RN licensure or NLC, and current BLS; ACLS/NRP/PALS/TNCC may be required in certain areas.

Competenze

• Nursing school graduate.
• Meets all mandatory, developmental, and performance competency requirements for Orlando Health and the unit/department.
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in Florida or valid NLC multistate RN license.
• Maintains current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification.
• ACLS, NRP, PALS, TNCC may be required for certain areas.

• Administers bedside patient care in a hospital or inpatient/observation setting under supervision.
• Assesses patients’ needs and develops individualized plans of care.
• Functions as an advocate for patients and families.
• Demonstrates knowledge to provide care appropriate to the patient age group.
• Coordinates patient care and delegates tasks to team members.
• Documents care per regulatory standards, including assessment, education, meds, treatments, and safety.
• Prioritizes patient care following Evidence-Based Practice Standards of Care.
