Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PCU Medsurg Float Pool in Austin, TX. You will perform assessments, develop and adjust care plans, administer medications, and support interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient care.

You will also educate families, participate in discharge planning, and provide pre/post-operative care as part of a collaborative nursing team. A BSN is preferred, with ADN acceptable, and BLS/ACLS/NIHSS compliance required.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recent clinical nursing experience as an RN.
• BSN preferred; ADN acceptable.
• Active RN license and BLS; ACLS/NIHSS within required period.

Responsibilities

• Formulate and update a plan of care based on patient response.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet patient goals.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care as needed.
• Educate patients and families on care and treatments.
• Facilitate discharge planning with care team.
