Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Critical Care ICU/ED Float Pool in Austin, TX. You will perform assessments, develop and revise a care plan, and collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, effective treatment.

Responsibilities include medication administration, education for patients and families, and discharge planning, with opportunities to contribute to hospital-wide nursing initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RN license in Texas or a compact state.
• BLS, NIHSS and ACLS certifications required or obtained within stated timelines.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient assessments and develop plans of care.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to evaluate and adjust care.
• Administer medications and treatments per policy.
• Delegate tasks to non-licensed staff as appropriate.
• Provide pre- and post-operative care and patient education.
• Support discharge planning with the care team.
