Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff seeks a travel RN for PCU in Seattle for a 13-week night shift. The unit handles cardiac telemetry patients including post-op open-heart and vascular cases.

Requires 2 years telemetry, surgical telemetry, IV skills, NIHSS; compact license; ACLS/BLS; Epic EMR experience; must float and cover weekends.

Travel nurses must have separated from a facility for at least 3 months; daily census is about 32 patients across 36 beds.

Qualifications

• ACLS and BLS certifications required; NIHSS listed.
• Must be able to float to other units as needed; travel nurses only.

Experience:

Minimum of 2 years of telemetry experience preferred.Must have surgical telemetry experience, specifically with open heart surgery and vascular management.Experience in IV skills and NIHSS is required.Optional experience includes VAD and TAVR.

License:

Active compact license required.

Certifications:

ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.

Must-Have:

Must have experience floating to other units as needed.Must work every other weekend.Epic experience is a hard requirement.Nurse to patient ratio is 1:4, which may become 1:5 during midnight shifts.

Description:Candidates must be travelers who have been separated from any other facility for at least 3 months.All facilities honor active compact licenses.Candidates with no travel experience should not apply.Patient demographics include adults and geriatrics.The daily census averages 32 patients with 36 total beds.The unit provides care for surgical cardiac telemetry patients with conditions such as myocardial infarction, arrhythmias, and post-operative care for open-heart surgery and vascular patients.Duties include blood product administration, cardioversion, defibrillation, and telemetry monitoring.Travelers should be flexible and willing to float to similar units as required.References covering 1 year within the last 3 years are needed.Documentation of relevant past experience will be required.Travelers may be expected to manage multiple tasks simultaneously, including interpreting dysrhythmias and managing cardiac and vasoactive drips.Providers will be responsible for submitting their own cell phone bills if required for the assignment.
