Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff in Seattle is seeking a skilled RN for a 13-week, night-shift assignment in a surgical telemetry unit.

You will care for patients with myocardial infarction and primary arrhythmias, providing pre- and post-operative care for open-heart surgery patients and vascular cases as needed, with telemetry monitoring throughout.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of telemetry experience.
  • Must have surgical telemetry experience.
  • Experience with open heart surgery and vascular management.
  • IV skills and NIHSS certification required.
  • Active compact RN license

Responsibilities

  • Care for surgical telemetry patients with myocardial infarction and primary arrhythmias.
  • Provide pre- and post-operative care for open-heart surgery patients.
  • Manage vascular surgery patients and those with coronary artery disease.
  • Perform IV drips management and cardiac drip knowledge; telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation.
  • Maintain patient ratios around 1:4 and be prepared to float to similar units as needed.
  • Flexibility for weekend and holiday shifts; assist with chest tubes and blood product administration.

Description:Candidates will work in a surgical telemetry unit.The unit specializes in managing patients with myocardial infarction and primary arrhythmias.Pre-operative and post-operative care for open-heart surgery patients is required.Vascular surgery patients and those with coronary artery disease will also be included in care responsibilities.Experience with stroke patients with cardiac involvement is preferred.Candidates must manage IV drips and have knowledge of cardiac drips.Telemetry monitoring and dysrhythmia interpretation skills are essential.Patient ratios are typically 1:4, which may increase during midnight shifts.Floating to similar units may be required based on staffing needs.Every other weekend availability is expected.Candidates may administer breathing treatments and manage chest tubes.Blood product administration and defibrillation experience are important.Candidates must be flexible in scheduling and prepared for holiday shifts.References covering recent experience are required prior to start.
