Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the PCU in Roseburg, Oregon for a 13-week assignment. The role requires 12-hour night shifts and step-down care responsibilities. A valid RN license and ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications are preferred.

The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of acute care experience, with cardiac and respiratory proficiencies. Telemetry is used on the unit, and there may be opportunities to float to ICU or med/surg as needed.

Description:The facility is able to request a 90-day emergency license.No operating room license is needed at the time of submission.If the clinical team recommends, the account manager will send the profile to the director or unit manager for a phone interview.A valid driver's license is required at the time of submission.The unit has a maximum of 20 beds.Staff-to-patient ratios are 1:3, with a maximum of 1:4 if there is medical overflow.Common diagnoses and types of patients include cardiac issues, respiratory problems, alcohol withdrawal, and renal failure.RNs are required to titrate drips with minimal supervision.Common titratable and/or set rate drips include Cardizem, heparin, and amiodarone.Charge nurse and house supervisor roles are available.There are nurse aides on this unit with ratios of 1:7 during the day and 1:11 at night.Respiratory therapy equipment available includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannulas.The unit has telemetry capabilities with monitor techs available to assist.Registered nurses are responsible for reading strips.Shifts are 12 hours long from 1845 to 0715.Staff is required to work every other weekend and one major and one minor holiday.There may be opportunities for call or standby during low census, with a maximum response time of 45 minutes if called in.Staff will float first to intensive care or medical/surgical units.Scrub tops can be any color or design except purple.Pants can also be any color except purple.Completion of unit-specific orientation is required over two shifts.The facility allows for cancellation of up to four shifts per 13-week assignment.The charting system used is MEDITECH.A BSN is not required for submission.This is an acute care environment.
