Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking a qualified RN for a 13-week assignment on the PCU, night shift, with 12-hour shifts. The role requires 2 years of cardiac floor experience, current license, and skills in telemetry, dysrhythmia management, and post-procedure care.

Travel experience is preferred unless the candidate has more than 24 months of cardiac experience. The unit handles patients with complex cardiac diagnoses and uses arterial lines, drips, CPAP/BiPAP as part of daily care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on the PCU/stepdown units with telemetry monitoring.
• Manage and titrate cardiac drips per protocol.
• Perform post-cardiac catheterization and post-MI care.
• Assist during CABG/valve procedures as assigned and support patient safety.

Must-Have:

Traveler experience required unless the candidate has more than 24 months of cardiac experience.Candidates must have skills in cardiac telemetry, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, sheath removal, interpretation and management of dysrhythmias, post-myocardial infarction care, pre/post cardiac catheterization management, management of cardiac drips including titration, chest tube management, external CPAP/BiPAP, nasal cannula, and non-invasive airway management.

Description:RTO after booking is not allowed and cannot be worked out onsite.Any call-offs or additional RTO on the unit could possibly result in a cancelation.Patient diagnoses may include atrial fibrillation, CHF, ACS, CAD, aortic stenosis/regurgitation, mitral regurgitation/stenosis, endocarditis, cardiomyopathy, PVD, PAD, vasculitis, carotid stenosis, and venous stasis.Special procedures may involve CABG, AVR, MVR, TAVR, mitral clip, LAAO, VATS, carotid endarterectomy, FEM-POP bypass, amputations, cardiac surgeries, thoracic surgeries, post-cardiac catheterization, post-DCCV, post-electrophysiology procedures, and pacemaker placements.The unit will encompass a variety of specialized equipment such as arterial lines, Doppler, bladder scanner, EKG, and chest tubes.Daily patient ratios may vary based on acuity, generally noted as 1:6.Candidates should expect to float within the unit rotation and must be flexible with regards to weekend requirements.Availability for work during catastrophic events, mass casualty situations, or disasters is also expected.Pre-approved time off is limited, and specific coverage requirements must be met.Candidates must complete pre-start modules as part of their onboarding process.All candidates will be interviewed before assignment.
