Job summary

Cynet Health is seeking an RN for the PCU on a 13-week contract in Round Rock, TX. The night shift runs 12-hour shifts in a 34-bed unit staffed with 9 nurses and 4 patient care technicians, with 4:1 patient ratios.

Candidates must have at least 1 year of RN experience and active RN license; BLS and ACLS are required, NIHHS preferred. The unit handles emergent procedures such as chest tubes, midlines or PICCs, and bedside bronchoscopy.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care in a 34-bed PCU with 4:1 patient ratio.
• Assist with monitoring using bedside monitors and equipment.
• Collaborate with charge nurse and team; night shift coverage.

Description:This is a contract position for an RN in the Intermediate Care Unit.The shift is from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.No on-call requirements are necessary.The unit has 34 beds and a staff consisting of 9 nurses and 4 patient care technicians.Day shift includes 1 charge nurse along with 9 nurses and 4 technicians.Night shift consists of 1 charge nurse, 9 nurses, and 4 technicians.Patient ratios are 4:1.Common equipment used includes bedside monitors, glucometers, dopplers, standing scales, wheelchairs, and hoyer lifts.Candidates must have experience with emergent procedures like chest tube placement, midlines or PICCs, and bedside bronchoscopy.The ideal candidate should be teamwork-oriented.Uniforms required are navy blue tops and pants.Permanent positions are available on the unit.This unit values new technology and the experience of its staff.The environment encourages schedule flexibility and is competitive in attracting talent.
