Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking a RN for a PCU assignment in Kentucky. The role focuses on heavy trauma and GI post-op patients in an acute progressive unit with a 14-week duration and night shifts (12 hours).

The candidate should have a minimum of 2 years in the specialty, Compact state license, and ACLS/BLS/NIHSS certifications, plus experience with abdominal surgeries and tracheostomy care. Telemetry experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Trauma level 1 or 2 experience required.
• Trauma/general surgery post-op patient experience.
• Abdominal surgery experience.
• Tracheostomy care experience.
• Proficient with Foley catheters, surgical drains, wound vacs, ostomy, ports, PICCs, TPN and lipids.
• ACLS, BLS and NIHSS certifications required; compact state license.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for acute progressive unit patients with heavy trauma and GI post-op focus.
• Work night shifts on a 14-week assignment.
• Adhere to protocol for trauma and post-op care; maintain telemetry monitoring.

Description:The position is for an acute progressive unit with a focus on heavy trauma and GI post-op patients.Candidates must possess ACLS, BLS, NIHSS certifications, and telemetry experience.Level 1 or 2 trauma experience is critical for this role.First-time travelers will be considered if they have Level 1 trauma experience.Trauma and general surgery post-op patient experience is necessary.Candidates must have experience with abdominal surgeries.Tracheostomy care experience is required.Candidates must be proficient in foley catheters, surgical drains, surgical oncology, wound vacs, ostomy care, ports, PICCs, TPN, and lipids.Those within a 100-mile radius will not be considered.Travelers are expected to work three of five major winter holidays.A reference is required at the time of submission.
