Job summary

Cynet HealthStaff is seeking an ICU Nurse (RN) for a stepdown ICU in Falls Church, VA. The RN will care for up to 3 patients on a 12-hour D/N rotation in a 24-bed unit using the Epic EMR system.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years ICU experience, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications. Weekend shifts are every 6 weeks with every other holiday covered. Orientation lasts 3 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for ICU stepdown patients up to 3 per nurse
• Maintain patient safety and monitor vitals continuously
• Participate in weekend 5-shift rotations every 6 weeks
• Float as needed to support unit coverage
• Follow unit protocols and Epic EMR documentation

Description:We are seeking an ICU nurse who is comfortable working on a stepdown unit taking up to 3 patients.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience.Weekend requirements include 5 shifts every 6 weeks.Holiday commitments will be every other holiday.The nurse will be the first to float when necessary.The unit has 24 beds and utilizes the Epic EMR system.Patient ratios are 1:3.Floor orientation is 3 days.Common drips managed include insulin gtts, cardizem, heparin, Lasix, precedex, and low-dose pressors.Common patient conditions include respiratory disease processes, neurological disorders, and chronic illnesses.Scrubs should be navy blue pants with solid navy or white tops.Long sleeve shirts under scrubs must be navy or white.
