You will work in a 20-bed PCU with a 4:1 patient ratio, use ExpansE EMR, and operate Hospira pumps; strong rhythm interpretation and teamwork are essential for success.

• Active nursing license (compact) at submission.
• Minimum 2 years of PCU experience in hospital setting.
• ACLS and BLS certifications; NIAH preferred.

Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Progressive Care Unit (PCU) team. This is a travel position for a 13-week assignment, working night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in a hospital setting and possess an active compact license at the time of submission.

Unit Details

• Number of Beds: 20
• Number of Staff: 5 RNs & 2 LNAs, with flexibility based on volume
• Staffing:
  • Day Shift: 5 RNs
  • Night Shift: 5 RNs
• Patient Ratios: 4:1
• Equipment: Client cardiac monitoring, Hospira IV pumps
• EMR: Expanse

Required Skills

• Strong dysrhythmia recognition skills & critical drip experience
• 2 years PCU experience

Preferred Skills

• Pre-post cardiac cath & pacer patient care experience
• Prior HCA experience

Best Personality Fit

• Self-directed, confident, positive even when faced with difficult circumstances, strong communication skills, team player

Required Certifications
