Job summary

Glendale Memorial Hospital and Health Center, part of Dignity Health, seeks a Manager of Patient Safety and Risk to oversee the hospital’s Patient Safety Program, including data collection, analysis and reporting of events, and to ensure all accreditation and regulatory requirements are met. You will coordinate claim responses and collaborate with stakeholders to implement learnings from claims.

The ideal candidate is an RN with experience in patient safety and risk management, and possesses

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required, or five years of related experience in lieu of degree.
• Minimum of three years of risk management, patient safety, and related experience.
• Two years of supervising employees or vendors.
• Experience with event reporting, root cause analyses, and event investigations.
• Knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations at federal, state, and local levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the hospital’s Patient Safety Program including data collection, analysis and reporting of events.
• Ensure accreditation and regulatory requirements for patient safety are fully met.
• Coordinate claim responses and collaborate with stakeholders to implement learnings from claims.
• Lead management of hospital liability documents and related legal coordination.
• Educate teams and leaders with strong written and oral communication.
