Job summary

IHA is seeking a part-time RN Coordinator - Patient Placement to oversee inpatient bed management and patient placement. The role includes supervising the flexible staffing system on a shift-by-shift basis and ensuring access to appropriate care.

Ideal candidates have a BSN, Michigan nursing license, and at least five years of acute care RN experience with prior leadership exposure. Weekend commitments are included.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.
• Newly hired colleagues must have a BSN or agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years.
• Requires current Michigan Nursing License.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an RN in an acute care setting.
• Prior leadership experience (Shift Coordinator, Team Leader, committee participation, or Case Management in acute care).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate patient access to clinically appropriate level of care with clinical criteria, utilization management and managed care processes while evaluating care based on quality, access and cost-effectiveness.
• Serve as a leadership resource as needed.
