Trinity Health is seeking an RN Coordinator - Patient Placement to optimize inpatient bed management and patient placement. The role supervises implementation of the flexible staffing system on a shift-by-shift basis.
The position is contingent and supports the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shift with a minimum of two shifts per month and a weekend commitment: three weekends every six months.

POSITION PURPOSE
The RN Registered Nurse Coordinator - Patient Placementis responsible for inpatient bed management and patient placement.
They will supervise implementation of the flexible staffing system on a shift-by-shift basis.
Contingent opportunity supporting the 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. shift
Scheduled a minimum of two shifts per month.
Position does have a weekend commitment: Three weekends every six months (which include Saturday and Sunday).
The selected individual will facilitate patient access to the clinically appropriate level of care in collaboration with other members of the health care team through the use of clinical criteria, utilization management and managed care processes while evaluating care based upon quality, access and cost-effectiveness.
This role will also serve as a leadership resource as needed.
Education : Graduation from accredited nursing program Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
Newly hired colleagues must have a BSN or agree in writing to obtain their BSN within five years.
Licensure: Requires current Michigan Nursing License.
Experience : Minimum of five (5) years of experience as an RN in an acute care setting.
Prior successful leadership experience, i.e. Shift Coordinator, Team Leader, committee participation, or previous Case Management experience in an Acute Care setting.
