Job summary

UF Health in Florida seeks a Registered Professional Nurse to identify health alterations, assess patient responses, implement interventions, and evaluate outcomes. The RN will coordinate care with the health team, involve families when possible, and supervise licensed practical nurses and unlicensed assistive personnel to ensure high-quality patient care.

Minimum BSN and licensure in Florida are preferred; ongoing professional certification is encouraged to advance nursing practice and patient

Qualifications

• BSN degree required or preferred for hire.
• Current Florida RN license.
• Certification preferred at hire or within stated timeframe.

Responsibilities

• Identify patient health alterations and assess responses.
• Implement nursing interventions based on nursing theory.
• Evaluate effectiveness of interventions to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Involve patient and family in assessment, planning, and evaluation where possible.
• Supervise/coordinate care provided by LPNs and UAPs.
• Delegate care to qualified health‑care team members as needed.
• Coordinate care across disciplines to support the patient’s needs.
