Job summary

Mary Washington Healthcare seeks a Level II Registered Nurse to provide competent patient care, collaborating with the care team to apply evidence-based knowledge. The RN accepts accountability for comprehensive, patient-centered care across the nursing process from assessment to evaluation.

The role includes helping define care standards, participating in performance improvement, and orienting new staff within a supportive hospital environment. BSN preferred and Virginia RN license required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with RN experience.
• Valid RN license in Virginia or compact state.
• AHA BLS required at hire; NIHSS within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care using the nursing process and teamwork.
• Coordinate patient/family and health team involvement in care and discharge planning.
• Communicate care plan with health team members.
• Support standards of excellence and participate in quality improvement.
• Participate in orientation of new staff and hospital committees.
