Job summary

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program and has experience as a Registered Nurse.
• BSN preferred.
• BLS Provider CPR at hire.
• ACLS Provider within 6 months.
• NIHSS (Bluecloud) within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Direct and coordinate nursing care with interdisciplinary teamwork to achieve patient outcomes.
• Coordinate involvement of patient, family and health team members in patient care, including discharge planning.
• Communicate and coordinate the plan of care with health team members.
• Assist Leadership to define standards of excellence for patient care and participate in improvement of services.
• Participate in performance improvement and quality improvement activities.
• Orient new staff members, permanent and temporary.
• Act as point of contact on hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
• Participate in daily operational activities for safe patient/staff environment.
• Provide input to Nurse Manager regarding unit needs.
• Participate in committees for nursing and hospital policies.
