Job summary

Kern River Transitional Care Center in Bakersfield, CA is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for all shifts and part-time NOC options. You will provide high-quality nursing care, monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and collaborate with physicians to implement care plans.

The ideal candidate holds a California RN license, has experience in skilled nursing or hospital settings, and demonstrates strong communication, organization, and critical-thinking skills.

• Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, or hospital settings preferred.
• Strong nursing care practices and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' conditions and assess their needs to provide the best care and support.
• Observe and document symptoms, reporting changes to physicians promptly.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to create individualized care plans.
• Perform essential nursing procedures (e.g., vitals, injections, wound care).
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders.
• Maintain hygiene and safety protocols across the facility.
• Provide emergency response and support during critical situations.
• Train and supervise LPNs and CNAs as needed.
• Foster a compassionate and respectful environment for residents and families.
• Participate in continuing education and staff development initiatives.

Salary Range: $42-$46hr BOE
