Job summary

Kern River Transitional Care Center in Bakersfield, CA is hiring Registered Nurses (RNs) for all shifts to deliver high-quality, person-centered care to residents. This full-time/part-time role offers competitive wages, shift differentials, and a comprehensive benefits package.

You will monitor patients, document changes, collaborate with physicians, administer medications, and train LPNs/CNAs. CA RN license required; prior skilled nursing or post-acute experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license in California.
• Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute, or hospital settings preferred.
• Strong nursing care practices and emergency response knowledge.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and critical-thinking skills.
• Team-oriented, empathetic, and dependable.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients' conditions and assess their needs to provide quality care.

• Collaborate with physicians and inter-disciplinary teams to create individualized care plans.
• Perform essential nursing procedures (e.g., vitals, injections, wound care).

• Maintain hygiene and safety protocols across the facility.
• Provide emergency response and support during critical situations.
• Train and supervise LPNs and CNAs as needed.
• Foster a compassionate and respectful environment for residents and families.
• Participate in continuing education and staff development initiatives.

Salary Range: $40-$45/hr BOE
