Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses seeks a dedicated Registered Nurse for PACU care on a 13-week assignment, with night shift from 19:00 to 07:00. You will care for post-anesthesia patients, monitor vitals, and collaborate with the surgical team in a fast-paced recovery unit.

Required: RN licensure, 2+ years in nursing with PACU exposure; ICU experience preferred; ACLS/BCLS/PALS certifications. Travel, housing, and benefits included through ARMStaffing.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience with PACU exposure.
• Some ICU experience is preferred; rated 1–2 on screening checklist.
• Current RN licensure.
• ACLS, BCLS and PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Recover patients from anesthesia in the PACU and assess vitals.

• Transmit clinical information to floor nurses when transferring patients.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse with experience in Phase 1-2 PACU and some ICU experience to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced recovery environment. The PACU is responsible for the observation and care of patients who have undergone surgical procedures requiring anesthesia, receiving patients directly from the OR and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Recover patients from anesthesia in the PACU, assessing vital signs and overall condition.
• Monitor patients for any signs of complications and provide immediate intervention as necessary.
• Transmit clinical information to the floor nurses upon patient transfer to the unit.
• Communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams to provide coordinated care.
• Document patient care in the electronic health record accurately and timely.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a nursing role, with required PACU experience.
• Some ICU experience necessary (rated 1-2 on checklist for screening).
• Current RN licensure.
• Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, PALS.
