Job summary

Origin Travel Nurses is seeking a Registered Nurse for the PACU in Fullerton, CA. This 13-week contract requires a capable PACU RN to provide postoperative care after surgeries and to monitor patients as they recover from anesthesia.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in PACU, an active RN license, and ACLS/BLS/PALS certifications. A recruiter will assist with housing and travel arrangements for this assignment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years PACU experience required.
• First-time travelers must have 3+ years PACU experience.
• Current RN license required.
• Certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NIH, PALS.

Schedule

Day shifts, 4x10-hour schedule (09:00 AM - 07:30 PM), Monday through Friday. Must be open to working any days Monday through Friday.

Job Description

The PACU RN will provide high-quality nursing care in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit, focused on recovery after surgical procedures. This position requires a well-rounded Registered Nurse with experience in various types of surgery.

Responsibilities

• Provide postoperative care for patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions and vital signs.
• Administer medications and manage IV therapy.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and ensure effective communication between departments.
