Job summary

ARMStaffing is seeking experienced and detail-oriented Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurses (RNs) for travel assignments and local contracts at top hospitals across the country. You will care for patients recovering from anesthesia, monitor vitals, manage pain, and ensure safe transitions from surgery to discharge or inpatient care.

As a Travel PACU RN, you’ll collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesia staff, and recovery nurses; provide post-op education to patients and families;

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Compact license preferred).
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred for pediatric PACU.
• Minimum 1 year of recent PACU, pre-op, or critical care experience.
• Strong post-op assessment and emergency response skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced recovery room environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess post-anesthesia patients for pain, consciousness, and complications.
• Administer medications, including pain relief and IV fluids.
• Collaborate with surgical teams, anesthesiologists, and recovery staff.
• Educate patients and families on post-op instructions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure adherence to protocols.

Job Description:
