Job summary

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is hiring a RN PACU to provide ongoing monitoring and care for patients recovering from anesthesia or sedation in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. The PACU RN ensures patient safety, comfort, and privacy, collaborating with physicians and staff to support smooth procedure flow.

Requirements include graduation from an accredited RN program, active Texas RN license, BLS and ACLS (PALS if required), and 2 years of PACU or Critical Care experience.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing.
• Active RN license in the state.
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years' experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, ensuring safety, comfort, and privacy.
• Assists physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, conscious sedation, and sterile techniques as appropriate.
• Delivers total care to patients emerging from anesthesia; conducts assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for discharge.

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is hiring a RN PACU

Welcome to Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress

We have 1 OR rooms and 3 Procedure room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years' experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
