Job summary

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is seeking a RN PACU to deliver continuous, quality nursing care for patients recovering from anesthesia, with ongoing assessment and safety. The role may involve assisting physicians during procedures, managing conscious sedation, and maintaining sterile technique as needed.

Applicants should be a graduate of an accredited RN program with an active RN license in the state, and hold BLS and ACLS certifications (PALS if required).

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN school of nursing.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS required; PALS if required by the center.
• 2 years' PACU or critical care experience preferred.
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment.
• Strong communication and workload prioritization abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist physicians in procedure rooms with tasks, sedation, and sterile technique as appropriate.

Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress is hiring a RN PACU

Welcome to Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress

We have 1 OR rooms and 3 Procedure room. We perform outpatient surgical procedures in Gastroenterology. Position requires weekdays only -- no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required; schedule subject to change based on surgical schedule and flow of the day.

PACU Registered Nurse (PACU RN) at Memorial Hermann Endoscopy Cypress

The PACU Registered Nurse provides continuity and quality nursing care for all patients, with continual evaluation of the patient's condition, providing patient safety, comfort, and privacy at all times. May assist the physicians in the procedure rooms with various tasks, conscious sedation, and utilizing sterile techniques as deemed appropriate. Will provide total comprehensive patient care to patients emerging from general anesthesia and/or sedation; assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient and family in preparation for discharge

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited RN School of Nursing
• Active RN license in the state
• BLS and ACLS Required, PALS if required by the center
• 2 years' experience in PACU or Critical Care preferred
• Ability to make decisions based on nursing judgment
• Able to prioritize and organize workload to meet the needs of patients and the unit
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
