Job summary

Garden City Healthcare Center in Modesto, CA seeks a Registered Nurse (RN) for the full-time NOC shift to supervise and provide direct nursing care overnight, ensuring regulatory compliance and high-quality resident outcomes.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, preferably in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting.
• Training in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices preferred.
• Current, active California RN license and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON and/or ADON with oversight of nursing services during the NOC shift.
• Ensure nursing staff comply with facility policies and job descriptions.
• Participate in quality assurance activities, audits, and surveys as requested.
• Complete required documentation, reports, and incident/accident reports.
• Protect resident confidentiality and report unauthorized access to information systems.
• Ensure adequate RN/LVN and CNA staffing levels throughout the shift.
• Supervise, support, and delegate duties to nursing staff.
• Conduct rounds to ensure quality care and compliance with nursing standards.
• Provide direct nursing care, including medication administration and treatments.
• Monitor residents for changes in condition and notify physicians and families as needed.
• Admit, transfer, and discharge residents as required.
• Review nursing documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure infection control, safety, and emergency procedures are followed.
• Assist with care planning, MDS coordination, and discharge planning.
